Baby Carrier Lending Library
Buying a carrier is a big investment! With the many different fits and styles of carriers constantly hitting the market, it's impossible to know which one will suit you and your baby's needs and bodies best at first glance. There are a few programs in the babywearing world that allow you to try before you buy, but as helpful as those are you still have to order your carrier, wait for it to ship, wait for it to arrive, and then you only have a very limited amount out days to decide if you'd like to keep it. If you come to realize you'd prefer something else, you then have to pack it up and ship it back in time to ensure they don't charge you. There's an easier way: the You & I Lending Library!
The library carriers live at the You & I studio, nestled in their own personal wardrobe. With over forty carriers and an extensive variety of meh dais, onbuhimos, water carriers, soft structured carriers, ring slings, stretchy wraps, hybrids, and half buckles, and brands from Tula, Ergo, Kinderpack, LennyLamb, Didymos, Sakura Bloom, and beyond, you'll be able to find the one that works for you without having to purchase and return countless carriers before finding your perfect fit.
Upon arrival back to the studio, carriers are thoroughly inspected for damage to ensure safety and proper function, photographed to monitor wear and tear, and then promptly washed with Fragrance Free Earth Breeze eco laundry sheets and line dried. They are then put back into rotation until a new family is ready to take them home!
For a small service and security fee, you can rent any one baby carrier for a four week time period. This allows you to get a feel of how it works for you, practice, build skills and confidence, and give you and your baby time to adjust. At the end of the four weeks, all you have to do is set up a time via text to give the carrier back (you don't even have to wash it, I do that part for you!), where you then may continue to rent out carriers to try until you find one you're thrilled with, or you can then purchase your own equipped with the confidence of knowing it's the one you want.
